Pretty nice revision of the Thing Thing 2 Survival formula. Zombie mode is easily the best. High energy, and tough.

What ghostscape 1 lacked in lasting creepiness, this makes up for. Despite being pretty simplistic, the soundtrack is great and proves quite memorable for me personally. The mood feels surprisingly heavy for such a small game. A lot of the puzzles in this one are not as complex as those in ghostscape 1, in fact I would boil this game down to just a scavenger hunt, but quite a spooky one at that. The game can be a tad frustrating though, as I will often miss one skull or oil lamp and spend 20 minutes searching the same places over and over. I'm not the only one who has this issue either.
Really, I am giving this 5 stars for nostalgia. The atmosphere made a massive impact on me when I was around 6 years old, and I can feel that impact to this day.
This game formed my childhood internet experience. Well-made, interesting puzzles, fun scares (albeit in general, just jumpscares). A good time overall.
I'm rating this around 3 and a half because I can appreciate this small game for what it eventually led to (as in, the entire Thing Thing series)
By objective standards, it works, though the controls feel a little unresponsive at times.
Overall, not necessarily something I'll revisit often but I respect and even adore the legacy it started.
I make (non-flash)games, music, and artwork in general. I am also a bit of a flash game enthusiast; some of my favorites are the ghostscape and thing thing series.
